I always admired people that dedicated their lives to make a difference in the world, to make the world a better place. It’s what I’ve called being different in a good way. If you spent a minute just looking around, you see so many bad things, so many rich people that are always unsatisfied with their cars or houses, and they always want more and more. But is there somebody that is not led by greed? Are there people that enjoy giving and sharing and think more about the others than themselves?
Well, even they are as rare as unicorns, there are people that want to make a difference in the world and in this article, we’ll talk about Bachir Boumaaza aka Athene and Roman Ion Cristian aka Taxiul cu Bomboane (Candy Cab).
Bachir Boumaaza aka Athene is a well known gamer and Youtuber who dedicated his life to … charity. He raised more than 20 million dollars for Save The Children, money used to help 3rd world countries as Mali, Ethiopia. His goal is to make the world a better place and he is really doing it. He makes a difference just by understanding that people do not need big houses, expensive cars, pizza, luxury.
He is a hero just because he convinced other people to donate for charity in a world where everything is about money. He managed to spread the word about Ethiopia drought crisis and raised more than 50k donations just for this cause, along with other gamers, trough gamingforgood.net platform.
Roman Ion Cristian is a hero too because he manage to do things that for vast majority looks impossible. He dedicated his life to… sick children. Who else does this kind of things? Who else goes in hospitals and give sick children presents, reads stories and make them feel a bit happier? Nobody, nobody does this stuff, just Roman Ion Cristian known as Taxiul cu Bomboane (Candy Cab) or Summer Santa Claus.
I could never go into a child hospital and be happy, I would always be overwhelmed by emotions, feel sorry for those who cannot benefit a normal childhood. Roman Ion Cristian does it, he makes those children happy, he delivers presents and share time. He tells the stories and manages to put a smile on sick children’s faces. He is a hero and he needs to be appreciated for things that he does.
These people make a difference… These are real heroes…
